It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Calhoun of Marion, Illinois, born in Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin and Ressie Inez Calhoun (Sweet); his wife Mary Calhoun; and his siblings, Harold, Arlie F. Calhoun and Dorothy Tripp.

He is survived by: his sister Marilyn May of Sparta; his stepchildren, Richard Morony (Hope) of Carterville, Susan Chalfant (Wade) of Utah, Robert S. Morony of Florida, Samantha Barnett (Steve) of DuQuoin and Jeanie Bailey of DuQuoin; his grandchildren, Robert C. Morony, Megan Daigle, Cody Ritchie, Austin Chalfant (Kayla), Tabitha Morony, Cole Barnett, Viola Bailey, Vivian Bailey, Kristopher Boomer, Page Martinez (Samara), Axel Madison (Amber), Travis Barnett (Shania) and Erica Barnett; his great grandchildren, Kenlee, Aubree, Lanee, Gavin, Hayden, Adyson, Quincy, Maggie Mae, Ava Lynn, Cooper, Oakley, Ryker, Everleigh, Paisley, Blake and Lincoln; and his sister-in-law Shirley Calhoun of Carterville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
