We bid farewell to Wanda Helen Ferguson of Marion, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 15, 2025 at the age of 82. Wanda Helen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oral Angus and Cleoria Viola Hammonds (Wrozier); her son Vernon Lee Ferguson, Jr.; and her brothers, Ray Hammonds, Delmar Hammonds, Clifton Hammonds, Ronnie Hammonds and Don Hammonds.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon Ferguson of Marion; her children, Teressa Evetts (Chris) of Lake, Mark Ferguson (Rebecca) of Spillertown, Sherry Carter (Chris) of Imperial, MO and Kim Hite (Greg) of Marion; her grandchildren, Brandy Kwiatkowski (Steven), Amy Hurd (Mike), Mark D. Ferguson, Ashley Ferguson, Autumn Sargent (Bobby), Morgan Ferguson, Nevaeh Riddle, Josh Leonard, Alicia Rieger (Don), Cari Carter, Christopher Evetts (Ashley), Amber Akers (Kelton), Cady Riley (Rob), Jonathon Evetts (Madeline), Abbie Carter (Connor), Marlee Carter, Rylee Hite and Alison Hite; and her brother Dewey Hammonds (Stella) of Carterville. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, several sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Spillertown Baptist Church (110 N Spillertown Rd, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
