He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leroy and Dessie Rae Sager (Poland); his wife Phyllis Jean Russell; his stepson Ronald Lee "Fuzz" McDowell; and his sister Josephine Ulrich.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Weaver (Ron Rogers) of Marion, Dennis Sager of Vincennes, IN and Karen Ulrich of Sumner, IL; his stepson Tom McDowell of Carbondale, IL; his grandchildren, Jeremy Weaver (Allison) of Marion, Lesley Decker (Ryan) of Marion, Emiley Hall (Kevin) of Thompsonville, IL, Dave Ulrich (Deon) of Sumner, IL, Matthew Sager of Phoenix, AZ and Lesley Beard (Spencer) of Bloomington, IN; his great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Weaver, Theodore Weaver, Rosalyn Weaver, Alayna Decker, Aryana Decker, Karley Hall, Jaxon Hall, Desiree Ulrich, Destiny Ulrich, Corinne Beard, Vivian Beard and Archer Beard; his brother Donald Sager (Kathy) of Olney, IL; and his siblings-in-law, LeAnn Ashley of Paducah, KY and Ron Russell (Fran) of Paducah, KY. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
