It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Louise Aden of Marion, Illinois, born in Perks, Illinois, who passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Ramage and Bertha Ramage (Wright); her husband Charles Aden; her son Nathan Aden; and her siblings, Ralph, Lewis, Homer, Howard, Harvey, Elmer James Ramage, Agnes Eddleman and Ruth Stone.

She is survived by: her caregiver Aide; her sons, Jeff Aden (Sharon) of Dongola, Randy Aden (Susan) of Anna, Shaun Aden (Kelly) of Dongola and Paul Aden (Christine) of Dongola; her grandchildren, Aaron Aden (Ashlea) of Dongola, Breanna Lingle (Landon) of Dongola, Clay Aden of Dongola, Jessica Hoffman (Eric) of Dongola, Joshua Aden (Amber) of Dongola, Shea Koone (Kevin) of Dongola, Brandi Aden (Jeremy Smith) of Carterville, Lauren Green (Kaleb) of Marion and Nicholas Aden (Evelyn) of Carbondale; her stepgrandchildren, Hillary Wiseman (Cale) of Albion, Adam Hoffner (Brittney) of Dongola, Kyle Goodwin of Goldsboro and Tim Goodwin of Lincoln; her sisters, Joann Lessar, Rita Ramage of Elco and Annie Rosson of Jonesboro; and her close friend Maryilyn Cagle of Marion. She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meisenheimer Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
