He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas W. Spielman. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Ruth Spielman (Gilliland) of Mount Morris, IL; his former wife Eleanor Jean Seitz; his wife Jeanie Spielman of Marion; his children, Kelly Pechlaner (Bernie) of Windsor, CO, Jerry Spielman (Leigh) of St. Charles, IL and Andy Spielman (IZza) of Loves Park, IL; his stepson David Crockett (Courtney) of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Nicholas of Windsor, CO, Lukas of Windsor, CO, Tyler of Windsor, CO, Aiden Pechlaner of Windsor, CO, Matt Heath of St. Charles, IL, Ryan, Brianna Spielman of St. Charles, IL, Joey Spielman of Loves Park, IL, Lily Spielman of Loves Park, IL, Amber Mendoza of Loves Park, IL, Luke of Cincinnati, OH, Sophie of Cincinnati, OH and Brodie Crockett of Cincinnati, OH; his sisters, Debbie Butts of Winnebago, IL, Brenda Presell (Dan) of Mundelein, IL and Elaine Sawdey (Lon) of Park Falls, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Williams (Charles) of Carrier Mills, IL and John Seitz (Susan) of South Haven, MI. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for those who prefer, memorial contributions be made to either or both; "Hospice of Southern Illinois" and/or "Seward Congregational Church.".
