It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Hartwell of Marion, Illinois, born in Johnston City, Illinois, who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester James and Juanita James (Owens); her husband Lowell "Tom" Hartwell; her brother Don James; and her grandson Robert Thomas Hartwell.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Hartwell (Andrea) of Marion and Cindy Hall (Ron) of Carterville; her grandchildren, Jason Lee Lemasters, Lindsey Marie Perry (Logan), Nicholas Taylor Hartwell, Matthew Ryan Hartwell, Dustin Thomas Hall and James David Hall; her great grandchild Ryann Taylor Perry; her brother Harold Gene James (JoAnn) of Braselton, Georgia; and her sisters-in-law, Lovina James of Marion, Jean Hoercher of Marion and Mary Kay Camden of Marion. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Wounded Warrior Project and will be accepted at the funeral home.
