He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Ammann and Adaline Ammann (Landert); and his stepdaughter Judy Zeller. He is survived by: his wife Alice Ammann of Marion; his children, Pamela Winet (Bob) of Highland, Mike Ammann (Shari) of Highland and Craig Ammann (Kelly) of Highland; his stepsons, James Zeller (Kellie) of Marion and Tom Zeller (Fran) of Marion; his grandchildren, Jamie Schroff (Derek), Jessica Fleer, David Ammann (Kate), Daniel Ammann (Aryn), Devin Ammann (Lexi), Kayla Kniepmann (Craig), Chesley Ammann, Jamie Zeller-Taylor (Nick), Dustin Zeller (Megan), April Marion (Kevin), Michelle Streep, Dennis Streep, Mike Blakey (Verbal), Matt Blakey and Mark Blakey (Chrissy); and his brother Roscoe Ammann (Julia) of Highland. He is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren.
Burial will take place in Hug Cemetery in East Pierron, Illinois on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 p. m. Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the burial are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Boxes 411, Marion, Illinois 62959.
