He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence H. Broemmel and Isabel Broemmel (Boesing); his brother Gregory Broemmel; and his sister-in-law Marcia Birsinger (Heinz). He is survived by: his wife Judy Broemmel of Marion; his children, Brad T. Broemmel (Priscilla) of Nokesville, Jeffrey D. Broemmel of Knoxville, Barbara Volmert (Russell) of Washington, Jarett D. Broemmel of Seattle and Jill Lewis (Randy, Jr.) of Marion; his grandchildren, Belinda Nellet (Broemmel) of Warrenton, Benjamin Broemmel, Jared Broemmel, Navy, Jacksonville Naval, Daniel Broemmel of Fredericksburg, Nicholas Broemmel of Arlington, Andrew Broemmel, Patrick Broemmel of Nokesville, Nathaniel Broemmel, Georgia, Zachariah Broemmel, Emmeline Broemmel of Knoxville, Peter Volmert of Kansas City, Isabella, Joseph, George Volmert of Washington, Daisy Broemmel of Seattle, Brendan Lewis of Nashville, John Robert Lewis and Ava Lewis of Marion; his great grandchild Josephine Nellet of Warrenton; his brothers, Steve Broemmel (Pat) of Carbondale and Bruce Broemmel of Quincy; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Broemmel of Lansing, Alvin Birsinger of Friendswood and Phil Heinz (Carolyn) of Ridgefield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing and the wearing of masks will be required.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Joseph's Church, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel (OLMC) School, Knights of Columbus, the Marion Ministerial Alliance or the Marion Unit 2 Foundation.
