It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Escherich (Marion, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Escherich, and Eleanore Escherich, Sr. (Callendar); and his siblings, John "Jack" Escherich, Arthur Escherich and Arlene Dillon.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Escherich (Bale) of Lake; his children, Lisa Smith (Ozro) of Dafter, MI, Terri Rosebohm, Leann Smith (Benjamin) and Richard "Rick" Escherich (Tiffany) of Dafter, MI; his stepsons, Daniel Jorgensen of Woodridge, IL and David Jorgensen (Georgia) of Romeoville, IL; his grandchildren, Lindsey Mattson, Krystal Rosebohm, Robert Jorgensen, Melynda Schroeder, Landon Mattson, Hart Jorgensen, Cody Rosebohm, Mara Jorgensen, Ozro Smith, Kassidy Smith, Alana Smith, Haylie Escherich, Cayd Escherich, Molly Escherich and Jase Escherich; his sisters, Carol Heine (James) of Batavia, IL and Jill Escherich of Grand Rapids, MI; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Escherich of Detroit Lakes, MN and Maureen Escherich of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
