She was predeceased by: her parents, Lamon Nevious and Mahala Elizabeth Nevious; her brother Phillip Darryl Nevious; and her nephew David Bruce Nevious. She is survived by: her former husband Everett Scott; her children, Deanna D. Scott-Powell and Paul D. Scott; her siblings, Sally Thomas, Sandra Hathaway, Bruce Nevious, Richard Nevious and Mike Nevious; her grandchildren, Aaron Scott, Cory Powell, Shawn Powell and Kaitie Powell; and her great grandchildren, Kaela Scott, Gavon Scott, Piper Powell, Cameron Scott and Phoebe Powell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
