It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Oscar Miles of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on October 1, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Miles and Helen Miles (Crabb); and his grandson Cade Schloss. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Stoup of Marion; his daughters, Cari Lawrence (Troy) of Metropolis and Teri Schloss (Shannon) of West Frankfort; his grandchildren, Ryan Lawrence of Metropolis, Kyle Lawrence of Metropolis, Derek Lawrence of Metropolis, Alyssa Schloss of West Frankfort and Brendan Schloss (Becka) of Mountain Grove, Missouri.; and his close friends, Bob Shadowens, Johnny Copeland and Jay Rix.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the visitation and service are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.

For those who prefer, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
