He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Scherer. He is survived by: his wife Julie Scherer of Bath, England; his children, Jason Scherer (Amy) of Herculaneum, MO and Stephanie Gose (Aaron) of Marion; his grandsons, Nathan, David Gose of Marion, Ethan Rozner and Jacob Rozner of Herculaneum, MO.; and his stepmother Mary Scherer of Herrin. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
