It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marvin Lee Stanton of Marion, Illinois, born in Wayne City, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Stanton and Ethel Beard (Towell); his grandson Victor Rice; and his sisters, Mary Honeycutt and Dorothy Gillian.

He is survived by: his wife Joy Ann Stanton of Marion; his children, Debra Powell of Herrin, Sandra Yerk of Marion and James L. Stanton of Clarksville, TN; his grandchildren, Joseph Rice, David L. Rice, Maranda Yerk, Melinda Yerk and Mariah Yerk; his great grandchildren, Nicole, Noah, Nathaniel, Gage, Kyle, Anna, Cody, Jace, David Christopher Rice and Madison Ward; his brothers, Leonard Stanton, Glen Stanton and Melvin Stanton; and his close friends, Mike Dailey and Earl Whitson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
