She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Henry and Maude Dawson (Walker); her children, Kenneth Burns and Lynn Marie Burns; her cousin Wilma Carter (Cogdill-Cozadd); and her siblings, Fern Long and Bobby Joe Dawson.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald C. Burns; her daughter Kimberly Pendergrass; her niece Ann Field (Cozadd); her nephew Robert Field (David Cozadd); and her sister Elma "Faye" Furlong.
