It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie P. Jacobs Jr. of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Jacobs and Christina Jacobs (Prescott); and his mother-in-law Janice Smith. He is survived by: his wife Tara Jacobs (Smith) of Marion, IL; his sons, Jackson of Marion, IL and Kaden of Marion, IL; his brother Mark Jacobs (Selina) of Pembroke, NH; his sister-in-law Traci Trill (Preston) of Benton, IL; his nephews, Dakota of Benton, IL and Gage of Benton, IL; his father-in-law Jack Smith of Benton, IL; and his aunt Cathy Brister of Concord, NH. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial donations be directed to the "Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.". Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.
