She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Minton and Thelma Minton (Smith); her granddaughters, Addison Grace Simmons and Kaleigh Jane Patton; and her brothers, Virgil Minton Jr. (Junior) and William Minton (Bill).
She is survived by: her husband John David Simmons; her children, Darrin Scott Simmons (Lori) and Shea Lynette Patton (Rodney); her sisters, Wanda Mandrell and Joyce Piper; her sister-in-law Nancy Minton; and her granddaughters, Cierra and Peyton Simmons. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
