He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Hughes and Dorothy Rose Hughes (Stucker); and his brother Don Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Larry Hughes, Jr. of Purlear, Stephanie Hughes (Kerry Patterson), Pamela Hewitt (Scott) of Bonita Springs, Amanda Hughes and John Hughes (Megan Reilly) of Carterville; his grandchildren, Ronnie Zelek, Matthew Zelek, Kristi Hardrick, Samantha Gionta, Michelle Hughes, Zachary Shorr, Tyler Hughes, Keaton Reilly and Ashton Reilly; his brothers, Dennis Hughes (Wanetta) of Virginia and James Hughes (Barbara) of Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Brinkley of Marion, Shirley Coonce (Doyle) of Tunnel Hill and Johnny Henard (Naomi) of Granbury, Texas; and his pets, Lucy and Ricky. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
