He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hartkopf and Ruth Hartkopf (Cash); his son John David Hartkopf; and his siblings, Dorothy Clark and Jack Hartkopf.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. Hartkopf (Webb) of Marion; his children, Frances Cave (Jerry) of Marion, Sandra Shibles (Bruce) of Longmont, CO, David Lingle (Regina) of Lexington, IL, Jonathan Lingle (Billie) of Murfreesboro, TN, Ron Lang (Tracy) of Marion, Cayenne Haseker (Mike) of Marion and Kara Moreland (Alton) of St. Charles, MO; his sister Mary Jean Overby of Marion; his brother-in-law Larry Webb (Sue) of Marion; and his nieces and nephews, Shirley Hartkopf, Ann Henke, Mickey Hartkopf (Jackie) and David Overby of Phoenix, AZ.. He is also survived by several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
