It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Dean Smith of Marion, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on March 14, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William McNeil and Ruth McNeil (Stone); his half-sister Susan; and his brother Ray "Bugs" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Smith of Marion; his sons, Sean Anthony Smith (Jesica) of Carterville, Derick Smith (Megan Ashley) of San Diego, Zachery Smith (Megan Irene) of Murfreesboro and Travis Smith (Kelly McKnight) of Lake Worth, Florida; his grandsons, Parker Smith, Zane Smith and Bryant Smith; and his siblings, Bernadine Vaughn (Dean), Steve Smith (Carolyn) of Herrin, Jeff Heesch (Susan) of Carterville, Kenny Stone (Lisa) of Herrin, Don Smith (Janet) of Herrin and Paul Smith (Glennda) of Marion.
