It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Ann Pfleager of Marion, Illinois, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Pfleager and Ruth Pfleager (Seely); and her sister JoAnn Walker. She is survived by: her children, Kevin L. Fleming (Kim) of Marion, IL, Christopher Fleming (Debbie) of Marion, IL, Cory Fleming (Denise) of Louisville, KY and Nichole Johnson (Steve) of Fort Wayne, IN; her grandchildren, Rachale Elkins, Tausha Vernon, Dalton Fleming, Travis Fleming, Dustin Fleming, Megan Murphy, Benjamin Johnson, Chloe Johnson and Zachary Johnson; and her siblings, Carol Emswiler (Archie) of Columbus, OH, Sharon Hanshaw of Columbus, OH and Edward Pfleager (Barbara) of Little River, SC.. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

“I was so saddened to learn of Jean's passing. She was an amazing lady. I had the privilege of meeting her when she was fostering a child who was my CASA child. She was so good with him, giving him the love and structure he needed. Later, she became a CASA here in Illinois, too. She left a wonderful legacy. God has welcomed her home. Rest in peace, my friend.”
