He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Lorene B. Wilson (Bryan); his wife Sharon Marie Fly (Soldner); and his sister Mary Deane Wilson. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert A. Wilson (Pam) of Lake and Susan E. Brownell (Park) of Albuquerque, NM; his stepsons, Michael Burnell Fly (Debra) of Marion, IL and Scott Edwin Fly (Tammy Hill) of Marion, IL; his grandchildren, Stephanie LeAnn Lenon (Clay), Tracy Lynn Fly and Michael Clint Fly (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Brayden Robert Travelstead, Hayden Michael Travelstead, Cayden James Travelstead, Adley Grace Lenon, Kegan Andrew Kronsbein, Drake Allen Jeralds, Kenadee Nicole Smith, Mary Ryker Smith, Parker James Omohundro, Marlee Jane Fly and Wyatt Kay Fly; and his caregivers, Cindy Childers, Dori Chrestman and Dori Lewis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Marion V.A. Medical Center – CLC payable to "Community Living Center.".
