He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Allen and Elsie Jane Denton (Dilbeck); and his siblings, Doris Sanders, Lois Clayton, Robert Denton, Paul Denton, Oscar Denton, Orvall Denton, Avis Burton and Leona Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Denton of Marion; his son James "Jim"; his daughter-in-law Myrna Denton of Marion; his grandchildren, Scott Justin of Selina, KS and Ashley Young (Andrew) of Chapel Hill, TN; his great grandchildren, Kate Young of Chapel Hill, TN and Kaylee Denton of Louisville, IL; and his siblings, Carrie Van Black and George Denton (Ruth).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pyle Funeral Home (1008 W Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, IL 62951). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
