He was predeceased by: his parents, W. E. Buttrum and Lena Buttrum (Jones); his wife Dorothy; his stepsons, Jeff Stroud, Rick Stroud and Chris Stroud; and his siblings, Lucille Adkins, Frances McDonald, Billie Buttrum, Ruby Ewing, Edward Buttrum and William Norris Buttrum.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Scott Stroud of Creal Springs and Brenda Stroud of Thompsonville; and his brothers, Ronnie Buttrum of Marion and Danny Buttrum of Murphysboro Preceded.
