It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Shew of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Barger and Audie Barger (Randolph); her husband James I. Shew; and her children, James L. Shew, Gerald Shew and Cheryl Thomas.
She is survived by: her son Ronald Shew of Marion; and her grandchildren, Ronald Shew (Melody Neideffer) of Johnston City, Susan Hampton (Greg) of Nolensville, TN, Cindy Fuqua (Steve) of Friendswood, TX, Keith Shew of Herrin, Kevin Shew of Minnesota, Chris Thomas (Jamie) of Johnston City and Julie Carter of Marion. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
