He was predeceased by: his stepson Jonathan King; his sisters, Elaine Jenkens and Kay Reynolds; and his father-in-law Kenneth Gus Perry. He is survived by: his wife Deanna G. Davis of Marion; his stepsons, Simon Lee King (Christi) of Goreville, IL and Phillip Andrew King of Goreville, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Lexi King of Goreville, IL, Abigail King of Goreville, IL, Madison King of Pittsburg, IL and Andrew King of Pittsburg, IL; his godchildren, Bentley Cameron of Marion and Emily Strange; his brother Alan Davis (Jill) of Decatur, IL; his daughter-in-law Sara King of Pittsburg, IL; his mother-in-law Alma L. Perry; his brothers-in-law, Herman Jenkens of Goreville, IL and Pastor Oral Perry; and also, Kenneth and Alma Perry. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
The family requested for those who prefer, memorial contributions be given to "Crab Orchard High School" to be used specifically to improve the boy's baseball field. Memorial contributions were mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion, IL, 62959.
