It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Neuman Sheppard III of Marion, Illinois, born in Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Neuman Sheppard, Jr. and Lillian Avona Sheppard (Ridings); and his brother Charles David Sheppard. He is survived by: his wife Joy L. Sheppard of Marion; his daughter Jami Lea Gullic of Harrisburg, IL; his grandchildren, Kellen Lea Lacey (Drew) of Prospect, KY and Chase Kenton Allen (Robyn) of Harco, IL; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Hadley Lacey of Prospect, KY, Ian and Bo Allen of Harco, IL; his great-niece Kesia McClellan (Randy) of Marion, IL; his special Maltese (Beau); and also, Brylee and Presley McClellan of Marion, IL. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.

For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "The Pastor's Discretionary Fund.".
