He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Stapleton and Chloe Stapleton of Simpson, Illinois.; and his siblings, L. C., Russell, Bob, Bill, Harvey, Carl, Dennis, Adelia, Vida, Geneva, Dorothy and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Homer; his son Marv (Lisa); his granddaughter Shannon Nicole (Larry Janke) of McHenry, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Gabby, Luke and Lily; and his sister Laura LaHanes of Hebron, Indiana..
