He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ira and Georgia Helen Thorn (Livers); and his brother Terry Wayne Thorn. He is survived by: his wife Blanche M. Thorn of Marion; his children, Deana Englebright (Jason) of Johnston City, Kimberly Dimock (Mark) of Johnston City and Micah Thorn (Katie) of Carterville; his grandchildren, Haley Muniz (Justin), Erin Englebright, Emily, Madilyn, Ava Thorn, Tucker and Holden Dimock; and his brothers, Ron Thorn (Carolyn) of Makanda and Larry Thorn (Angie) of Anna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
