Fred Staples Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Staples of Marion, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Staples and Jane E. Staples (Woodard); his wife Betty J. Crabtree; and his siblings, Ruth, Helen, Charles, Sam, James and John.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Staples of Norris, TN, Brenda Harmon (Dennis) of Marion, IL and Tommy Staples (Loretta) of Hudson, IL; his grandchildren, Julie Staples, Kyle Kemnetz, Kari Kemnetz (Larry Krisher), Jenna Beitz (Blake), Sadee Barbic (James), Ryan Kemnetz (Kaileen Joritz) and Troy Kemetz (Kaila Gaither); and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Brantley, Braelynn Staples and Tucker Beitz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to the Carlock Fire Department, 200 N. Lincoln St., Carlock, IL 61725, where he lived most of his adult life.
