He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Cobb and Jewel Cobb (Morse); his son-in-law Tom Arnold; and his niece Sandy Cobb. He is survived by: his former wife Jane Crain; his wife Mary E. Cobb of Marion, IL; his children, Van Cobb (Lisa) of Marion, IL, Tresa Arnold of New Paris, OH and Theodore "Ted" Cobb (Diane) of New Paris, OH; his siblings, Allen Cobb (Francis) of Marion and Jane Disney (Ray) of Creal Springs, IL; his mother-in-law Mary Dale of Dowell, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy J. Dale of Dowell, IL, Theresa Gant (Ray) of Mulkeytown, IL, Pam Caraker (Darren) of DuQuoin, IL, Darryle Dale (Shannon) of Florida, Donald Dale (Vicki) of DuQuoin, IL, Robert Dale of Dowell, IL, Dennis Dale of Dowell, IL, Steven Dale of Dowell, IL and John Dale (Kristine) of DuQuoin, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
