She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Roy and Elsie Rogers (Rich); her husband Hallie Edgar Abney; and her siblings, Geneva Threewitt, Charles Rogers and George Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Abney Newton (Norman) of Fredericksburg, VA, Jesse R. Abney (Gayle) of Grand Junction, CO and John E. Abney (Darla) of Marion; her grandchildren, John C. Abney (Tina) of Metropolis, IL, Stacie L. Abney of Playa, Jesse D. Abney of Casper, WY, Christiana Newton of Fredericksburg, VA and Alexander Newton of Fredericksburg, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Rogers of Pickens, SC and Frances Abney of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
The family requested for those who preferred, memorial contributions were made to; "All Nations Church Memorial Fund.".
