He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonough and Marcella McDonough (Hoppe); his wife Mavis Claire McKenzie; and his sister Jan Johnson. He is survived by: his daughter Leslie McDonough Bove (Matthew) of Greenbrae, California; his grandson Luca Bove; his brother-in-law Roy Johnson of Streamwood, Illinois; his nephew Scott Johnson (Kim); and his niece Vicki Pekara (Bill).
