He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Ward and Johnnie May Ward Sr. (Jacobs); his stepfather Dennis Crites Sr.; his siblings, Dennis Crites Jr. and Donna Jacobs; and his son Brandon Ward.

He is survived by: his daughters, Somer Ward and Beth Ward; his brothers, John Crites and Barry Ward; and his grandchildren, Kailee Ward, Kloee Ward, Damon Ward, Madison Ward, Jaxxon Kelly, Hadlee and Rylee Whittle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and several dear friends, including special friend.
