We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2021, at the age of 91, Billy Thomas Hurst of Marion, Illinois, born in Elkville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson and Maida Hurst (Gill); his sisters, Eunice and Nina; and his brother-in-law John Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn K. Hurst of Marion, IL; his children, John Hurst of Marion, IL, Gregg Hurst (Penni) of Acworth, GA, Sheryl Bleyer (Tim) of Carterville, IL and Susan O'Neal (LeRoy) of Carterville, IL; his stepchildren, Tracey Hamilton, Eric Hamilton, Kirk Hamilton and Lonna Donaghue (Frank); his grandchildren, Nick O'Neal (Angelina), Benjamin Bleyer (Ashley Atterberry), Sarah Bleyer (Mitch Braddock), Captain Hunter Hurst, Hudson Hurst, Holden Hurst, Caleb Hurst (Samantha), Hannah Hurst, Leah Hurst and Carson Hurst; his stepgrandchildren, Sean Fitzgerald, Kelly Ditterline (Chris), Riley Hamilton, Keegan Hamilton, Jack Donaghue, Grace Donaghue, Kara Donaghue and Havachon (Lacy); and also, Gregg Hurst, Tom Tucker and Danny Tucker. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
For those who preferred, memorial contributions were made to "Scottsboro Baptist Church Building Fund" or "Hospice of Southern Illinois". Memorial contributions were mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.
