He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert O. "Bill" Ramsey and Velma L. Ramsey (Walker); his granddaughter Amanda Ramsey; and his siblings-in-law, Hubert and Maxine Damron.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline Ramsey of Marion; his children, Steve Ramsey (Cheryl) and Kim McKinney (Rick); his grandchildren, Elaina McKinney, Trey McKinney, Nick Ramsey (Torie) and Tyler Ramsey (Mallory); his great grandchildren, Hudson Ramsey, Adley Ramsey, Riley Finn Ramsey and Collin Ramsey; and his brother-in-law Max Damron (Vickie).
