It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty May Lewis of Marion, Illinois, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Anderson and Ruth Madeline Crowder (Gibbons); her husband Herbert Madison Lewis; her brother Wesley A. Crowder, Jr.; and her nephews, Herbert M. and Richard C. Lewis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara (Kenneth Dawes) and Susan (Brian Dietz); her granddaughters, Kathleen Baker (Ryan) of Herrin, IL, Allison Dietz of Philadelphia, PA, Michelle Dietz of Washington, D. C. and Stephanie Dietz of Rockville, MD; and her great grandchildren, Jack Parrish of Herrin, IL and Henry Baker of Herrin, IL. She is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
