It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty J. Travelstead (Marion, Illinois), born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carney Ray and Nellie Houston Owens (Bridwell); her husband Lowell Wayne Travelstead; her daughter Regina Hendrickson; her siblings, Lawrence Owens, Sam Owens, Rip Owens, Norma Watts and Nadine Dawe; her great grandchild Robert Allen "Shorty" Dillon; and her son-in-law Larry Edwards.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Edwards of Beverly Hills, Debbie Travelstead of Marion, Teresa Johnston of Ocala and Rhonda Wiseman (Tim) of Marion; and her son-in-law Dan Hendrickson of Marion. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
