He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie F. Funk and Evelyn M. Funk (Simmons); and his brother Fred F. "Bud" Funk, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patty Boner; his children, Kimberly Evetts (Craig Eastwood) of Creal Springs, Mark Funk of Tunnel Hill, Robert Funk (Abbey) of Tunnel Hill, Barry N. "Nickie" Funk of Tunnel Hill and Elizabeth Funk (R. J. Marks) of Creal Springs; and his siblings, Toni Taylor (Lyman) of Creal Springs and David R. Funk of New Columbia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
