She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Earl and Laura Lee Schmitt (Edmonds); her siblings, Juanita E. Schmitt and Harold Schmitt; her granddaughter Angela Cap; and her niece Candice.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Cap of Yorkville, IL, Sandra Laney of Herrin, IL and Georgia Jennings (Ronnie) of Marion, IL; her grandchildren, Jim Cap (Stephanie), Rodney Laney, Jr. (Holly), Ryan Laney and Brittany Jennings (Whitney); her great grandchildren, Harper, Johannah, Camila, Alexander, Hannah, Janessa, Caelin, Madelyn, Phineas and Renleigh; and her nephews, Brian Schmitt (Ann) and David Schmitt (Cheryl). She is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, other extended family members and friends.
