She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakop Klingenberg and Anna Klingenberg (Steinborn); her husband Donald Gene Howton, Sr.; her great grandchild Hunter Haney; and her brothers, Jakob Klingenberg II, Walter Klingenberg, Heinz Klingenberg and Erwin Klingenberg.
She is survived by: her children, David Glynn Howton (Frenei) of Herrin, IL, Heidi Ann Boggs (Darrell) of Marion, IL, Brittany Bourbonnais (Joshua) of Oklahoma, Donald Gene "JuJu" Howton, III (Alesia) of Anna, IL and April Edwards (Nick) of Murphysboro, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Liesel Klingenberg of Chicago, IL, Janelle Klingenberg of Sugarland, TX and Irmgard Klingenberg of Des Plaines, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "Grange Hall Free Will Baptist Church" or "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.".
