He was predeceased by: his parents, William Moellenkamp and Helen Moellenkamp (Grimm); his wife Eleanor Moellenkamp (Ficho); his stepson Michael McCarthy III; his grandson Raymond McCarthy III; his brother William Moellenkamp Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Landwehr, Marge Moellenkamp and Patricia McCarthy.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Maureen Sherman (Randy) and Kevin H. McCarthy; his son-in-law William Allen; his grandchildren, Jason Sherman, Matthew Sherman (Amanda), Elizabeth Allen Logan (John) and Kevin McCarthy Jr.; his great grandchildren, Sophia Sherman, Maxwell Sherman, Julie Logan and Jonny Logan; his sister Dolores Landwehr; his nieces, Linda and Karen; and his nephew Carl.
