It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha R. Hughes of Marengo, Illinois, who passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Stan; her brother Victor; and her children, Helena, Leslie and Steve.

She is survived by: her sister Grace; her sons, Stan (Carol) and Aaron (Julie); and her goddaughter Gail. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Martha's wishes were that any memorials be made to the Pioneer Center (Leslie's workshop) in McHenry or St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
