She was predeceased by: her father Fred Thiede; her husband Herbert Swanlund; and her siblings, Geraldine Standish, Gertrude Stanke, Bernice Bloedorn, Isabel Thomas, Clifford Thiede, Robert Thiede and James Thiede. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to ProMedica Hospice or the Marengo Food Pantry.
