He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gerger and Sophie Gerger; his son Brad; and his siblings, John, Leonard, Rose and Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gerger; his children, Steven and Kimberly; and his stepsons, Michael, Arthur and Jeffrey. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
