He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob R. Sr. Gauwitz and Marle Gauwitz (Jouvenaux). He is survived by: his spouse Renda Patrick; his children, Caren Geckler of Borden, IN and Scott Gauwitz (Lona) of Maquon, IL; and his siblings, Randy Gauwitz (Becky) of East Peoria, Cindy Blake of Washington, IL and Josephine Gauwitz of Metamora. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
