James E. Modglin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Modglin of Mapleton, Illinois, born in Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on November 1, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Abraham and Fredonia Modglin (Brinnen); and his siblings, Audrey Shaw and Bill Modglin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sue Newberry; his stepchildren, Bill Gentil of Pekin, Michell Palazzo of Pittsfield and Christopher Keith (Cathy) of Mapleton; his grandchildren, Sarah, Lani, David, Lyndie, Leah, Tony, Derrick and Christopher; and his brothers, Bob Modglin of Daytona Beach, Doug Modglin of Daytona Beach, Rich Modglin (Jennifer) of Ft. Myers and Scott Modglin (Becky) of Schaumburg. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters.
