With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Leroy Sawyer of Mapleton, Illinois, born in Baxter Springs, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sawyer and Linda Sawyer (Herrmann); his stepson Cliff Herring; and his brother Jerry Sawyer. He is survived by: his wife Judy Herring; his son Judd Sawyer of Scio; his stepdaughter Theresa Johanson (Brad) of Hanna City; and his grandchildren, Adam Johanson of Hanna City, Benjamin Johanson of Fayetteville, NC and BIllie Tibbs (Clint) of Sparland.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
