He was predeceased by: his father Arthur; and his brothers, Elbert O. of Belleville, Illinois. and Cordell E. of Belleville, Illinois.. He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Yvonne Meyer of Peoria, Illinois, Robert (Stephanie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Janice Bonneville (Michael) of Bloomington, Illinois; his grandchildren, Cody Bonneville (Olivia), John Bonneville (Christi), Jennifer Snyder (William), Mackenzie Bonneville, Micaela Eschman and Patrick Eschman; and his great grandchildren, Zachary, Jack, Michael Snyder and Luna Bonneville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of a mass in Galen's name or in a monetary donation to Farmington Country Manor, 701 S Main Street, Farmington, Illinois, 61531.
