He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Joseph and Catherine Mahoney (Hoover); his sister Pat Vrabel; and his sons, Francis J. Mahoney and Curtis Bruns.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Ann (Krigner); his children, Theresa Le Baron of Maryland, Natalie Wells (Jim) of Mapleton, Debbie Salzar (Clem) of Pekin, Jerry Bruns of Pekin and Patrick Mahoney (Bethany) of Maryland; and his brother Dennis Mahoney (Judy) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
