He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Goetze and Minnie Goetze (Reichel); his daughter Darla Tieszen; and his siblings, Jean Fisher, Dolores Laird, Betty Burritt and Bernard Goetze.
He is survived by: his wife Alberta Bailey; his children, Tammy Smith (Rick) of Mapleton, Mary Lou Janssen (Ron) of Glasford and Ted Goetze (Melissa) of Green Valley; his son-in-law Jeff Tieszen of Glasford; his grandchildren, Ryan Smith of Mapleton, Mark Smith of Bartonville, Nicole Lettow (Bill) of Hanna City, Chris Janssen (June) of Mapleton, Benjamin Tieszen of Glasford, Hope Moore of Peoria, Susan Schertz (Chris) of Pekin, Sarah Anderson (Grant) of Carbondale and Joshua Goetze (Eryn) of Pekin; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Abbott of New Lenox and Fran Goetze of Bluffs. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
